DataBarOnTheRun

A New York event series I ran for people working across data, analytics, startups, and business.

I started DataBarOnTheRun because I wanted something smaller than a typical meetup. The group usually included people from data, analytics, AI, startups, and business who would not normally be in the same room.

Some nights leaned more social and some were closer to roundtables. I kept the format small and loose so people could get past introductions and talk for a while.

Format

Small-group format

I kept it small. That made it easier for people to meet, stay in one conversation, and get past the first five minutes of small talk.

I handled the organizing, outreach, hosting, and flow of the evening. The part I cared about most was getting technical people, founders, and people from the business side into the same room long enough to talk.
